Pitch style event - Young PIANC
On Thursday, November 14, Young PIANC NL hosted an inspiring pitching-style event that attracted a lively crowd of 40 participants. The evening kicked off with five engaging speakers representing Van Oord, Deltares, RHDHV, Boskalis, and Arcadis, each presenting a project using the Pecha Kucha format (20 slides with 20 seconds per slide).
The topics covered a range of fascinating and impactful topics:
- Anne-May (van Oord) shared her award-winning insights on Seed-sediment dynamics for large-scale seagrass restoration (winner of the Waterbouwprijs 2024).
- Noor (Deltares) delved into the Kennisprogramma Natte Kunstwerken (Hydraulic Structures).
- Renske (RHDHV) introduced their innovative AIS data platform.
- Brent (Boskalis) inspired us with a presentation on Coral restoration in the Maldives.
- Erik (Arcadis) provided a deep dive into the Omega quay wall project in the Port of Rotterdam.
The speakers delivered their pitches with expertise and enthusiasm. After the presentations, the conversation continued over a delightful networking drink, offering plenty of opportunity to dive deeper into the topics and connect with fellow attendees.
